The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain. /Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
An excellent quote which runs fairly deep. However, for the motorcycle rider in me, it really doesn’t help. Yes, I know, there will be some riders out there which throw another quote at me – “If you don’t ride in the rain, you don’t ride at all” – which is a fair comment. A rider should be ready and be able to ride in all conditions. Rain or Shine. However, during the working week, on my commute to work – it isn’t the rain that stops me riding. It’s having to contend with outfitting for the rain. It can get quite cumbersome. And add the fact that most car drivers lose all sense of correct driving if some water is thrown on them. Even a sprinkle! I live in the Atlanta region. Yes. Go ahead. Empathize.
With the forecast showing rain through till Friday, the SuperTenere will be parked up, resting, in the garage. Hopefully the weekend will see the rain hold off and we ride.
